Course Overview

If you faithfully live out the Catholic Church’s moral teachings, there’s a good chance people will say you’re "homophobic," "transphobic," or "anti-woman." It’s not enough for Catholics to be able to share the Church’s teachings, they must be able to defend them as well. That’s why the Catholic Answers School of Apologetics is offering Evidence for Catholic Moral Teaching as a resource to equip you to understand, explain, and defend the Church’s teachings on the toughest moral issues of our day.

Here's what people are saying about Evidence for Catholic Moral Teaching:

  • Informative and Beneficial

    Sylvia De Jesus

A lot of information was given but in a way that is easy to take in and remember. You learn a lot of basic truths we often take for granted.

Overall, outstanding. I look forward to using the information I gained from this course. I'm fairly confident you've already heard this, but just in case... There is no text (Lesson Guide) for this lesson (The Duty to Defend Society). At that point in the course, the video titles (numbering) diverge from the Lesson Guide numbering. In addition, lesson 60 (Religious Liberty) is duplicated at the end (video only). Thank you for all you do.

Trent Horn gives excellent presentations with truth and compassion on the topics of Christian Anthropology, Sex and Gender, Debunking Transgender Ideology and Pastoral Advice for Confronting Transgender Ideology in the section on Human Identity. He gives practical advice on how we can refute transgender ideology when talking to transgender "rights" advocates by framing the discussion around not wanting to lie about people's identity, including their fundamental sexual identity. He emphasizes that people who suffer from gender dysphoria are in need of psychological, psychiatric, and emotional help as with other disorders, and that we should strive to gently correct those who embrace transgender ideology by refuting their arguments with good evidence without demeaning the people who suffer from this affliction.
